CDEC chair person Gertrud Konings and her husband Ad include 36 species of prickly pear cactus in their book Cacti of Texas in their Natural Habitat. Today we learn that Starbucks is now interested in cacti.
According to their press release summer fruits that are as vibrant in color as they are sweet, tangy and juicy in taste were the inspiration for Starbucks newest Frappuccino blended beverages. Starting today (June 20) Starbucks is featuring a variety of succulent, summer fruit flavors in their latest colorful Frappuccino blended CrA?me beverages.
One of those drinks is called Berry Prickly Pear. A Prickly pear has a similar taste to tropical melon and berry, and we found that it pairs really well with strawberries, said Jennica Robinson from the Starbucks beverage development team. This Frappuccino is made without whipped cream, so the fruit flavors and bright colors really shine through.
